Embracing Sustainability-Packaging & Sustainability
At Saint Valentine’s Liquorice Co., we believe in a better future for our planet. Thatโs why weโve taken a proactive approach to sustainable packaging. Every liquorice product you order is carefully packed in eco-friendly, recyclable materials, with minimal waste and maximum care.
This isnโt just about reducing our carbon footprint โ itโs also about preserving the freshness and quality of our sweets. Weโre committed to delivering the best liquorice we can, in packaging that respects your expectations and the environment.
How We Pack Your Order
- Retail Bags
Our liquorice bags are made from food-safe, recyclable materials wherever possible. Cut pieces and sticks are sealed by hand and labelled in-house, with minimal branding and plastic. - Shipping Boxes
All orders are packed in fully recyclable cardboard outer boxes. We use simple, effective packingโno excess or fluff. We often reuse clean packaging from our supply chain if protective fill is needed. - Trade Packaging
Bulk and wholesale orders are boxed with product safety in mind, but they are always using low-waste solutions, including paper-based wraps and recyclable liners when appropriate.
Our Ongoing Commitment
Being a small, independent company allows us to make thoughtful decisions about how we operate and how we improve.
- We prioritise recyclable and biodegradable packaging.
- We ship using Royal Mail, recognised as one of the UK’s most carbon-efficient networks.
- We reuse clean packing materials from our deliveries wherever possible.
- Weโre always exploring better options โ from compostable wrappers to recyclable labels โ without compromising product safety.
Doing It Properly
Sweets, especially liquorice, need to arrive fresh and protected. We take that seriously. But we also take responsibility for how that happens. Our mission is simple:
Deliver real liquorice, packed with care โ and without unnecessary waste.
